ANNIE MARIE DOLAN

Annie Marie Dolan began her professional singing career performing alongside her mother Linda Gail Lewis on
tour with UK chart-topper Shakin’ Stevens.  Shaky’s producer Stuart Colman had heard Annie sing whilst
recording an album with Linda in Nashville, and insisted that she join Tony and Anthony Rivers backing Shaky
on his 1999 European tour.  So impressed was Stuart that he and songwriter Dan Penn recorded Annie at Dan’
s Memphis Room studio upon her return to the US.  Later that year, Annie sang lead alongside her sister Mary
Jean McCall and Linda as The Lewis 3, performing their unique blend of traditional country, bluegrass and
gospel.

2000 saw Annie join her mother on tour with Van Morrison.  Not surprisingly, Van fell in love with her voice and
produced three of his songs with Annie in his studio in Bath; ‘In The Afternoon’, ‘Everything I Do Reminds Me Of
You’ and ‘I’m Satisfied’.

In 2005 The Lewis 3 recorded their debut album Perfect World with Linda’s long-time collaborator, multi-
instrumentalist and producer Ray Thompson.  Following swiftly on the heels of Linda’s Boogie Woogie Country
Gal album (Castle Music CMQCD912) - which featured six critically-acclaimed Lewis 3 tracks - Sanctuary Records
released Perfect World in January 2006.

Autumn 2006 saw the Lewis 3’s TV-advertised Merry Christmas From Nashville released in Scandinavia amidst a
flurry of radio and TV appearances including the top-rated Norwegian TV2 morning show.

Highlights for 2007 will include Annie’s debut at the internationally acclaimed Green Bay Rockin’ 50s festival in
Wisconsin on 18 May, and the release of her first solo album.  In the meantime, work continues a-pace in the
studio with Altanta-based producer Paul Diffin at the helm adding back-up vocals to the final mix courtesy of the
legendary Chas & Dave, both ardent Annie Marie fans – just take a listen to tracks 15 & 16 on the LindaGail
Lewis’s Hungry Hill CD which feature Annie Marie.

Annie Marie Dolan: “I am just so lucky to be able to work with my mother, sister and all the talented musicians I’
ve met along the way, and to make the music that I love.  Sometimes I forget that I am working because I’m
having such a good time.”
